Sharing the joy of flowers.

Our story

Hi - I’m Sharon. I have always loved flowers - I have memories of a young girl picking rose petals from my Mum’s garden and making perfume (at least thats what I called it but it smelt anything but nice).

Both of my Grandmothers enjoyed gardens - my Nana who lived in the same city as me growing up had a 1/4 acre section with flowers, fruit trees, berries and a very large glasshouse full of tomatoes. She was known around town for selling her produce from her house and I would help her. She had a bung leg so used her walking stick to shake the fruit from the tree and my job was to collect the fruit, put in bags and sell to customers when they knocked on the door. So much fun!

When we became empty nesters we took the opportunity to move to Hawke’s Bay to a 2 acre property and have built a garden from scratch. I love sharing flowers from my cutting garden. For me, pressing flowers for others is an extension of sharing the joy of flowers.
